It is interesting to ask people what they are? Many will answer “I am Mexican” or “I am American. Others will tell you their state or region is home, “I am a Vermonter” or “I am a Southerner”. Some will even insist that they are a city, “I am a Londoner.” For a few even a neighborhood can be their identity, “I am a Brooklyner.”

UNEXPLAINABLE, INEXCUSABLE —

No one has been able to explain to me why young men and women serve in the U.S. Military for 20 years, risking their lives protecting freedom, and only get 50% of their pay on retirement. While Politicians hold their political positions in the safe confines of the capital, protected by these same men and women, and receive full-pay retirement after serving one term. It just does not make any sense.
If each person who reads this share it, in three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.

Why wouldn’t TED Talks post these income inequality charts and the video of a TED presentation about how the American middle class has been left behind?
“We’ve had it backward for the last 30 years. Rich businesspeople like me don’t create jobs. Rather they are a consequence of an eco-systemic feedback loop animated by middle-class consumers, and when they thrive, businesses grow and hire, and owners profit. That’s why taxing the rich to pay for investments that benefit all is a great deal for both the middle class and the rich.
So here’s an idea worth spreading.
In a capitalist economy, the true job creators are consumers, the middle class. And taxing the rich to make investments that grow the middle class, is the single smartest thing we can do for the middle class, the poor and the rich.”
